Getting the Job Done

by Duane Mabee on October 31, 2019
The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) is serious about completing the Great Commission.  The U.S. C&MA family is made up of just over 425,000 people worshipping in 2,000 churches.  40% of the U.S. C&MA churches are non-Anglo.  Each Sunday, when C&MA churches gather to worship, praise goes up to our Savior in 37 different languages and dialects.  Yet with all of that diversity, we come together to give over $60 million annually to global missions!

This diverse group of people also fields 700 international workers.  These men and women serve among 70 people groups in 6 regions of the world.  21% are in Africa. 25% serve in Asia & Pacific.  Europe receive 14% of our workers and Latin America gets 10%.  10% are in the Middle East and another 20% serve in North and Central Asia.  We’ve mentioned before that 80% of our workers live in the area of the world where more than 80% of the unreached people groups live.  Many live and work in 30 creative-access countries that cannot be identified for security reasons.

That’s a lot of numbers.  What I want you to see from them is that we are serious about reaching the least reached peoples of the world with the grace of Jesus Christ.

Last week, you heard from Naomi about the amazing things God is doing among the people of West Africa.  God is moving in a people group that we have prayed about for decades.  He is actively calling people out of extreme spiritual darkness into the light of the gospel.

This is what you give to when you give to C&MA missions.  I encourage you to prayerfully consider what God would have you give toward completing the Great Commission this coming year.
